Music video: "I Got You" live studio recording

Another music video hot off the press! This one has such a tender, intimate energy. Though the song was written and recorded in a very different time, it's message of unyielding self-love fits perfectly to the current time of Covid-19, quarantine, and uncertainty. If you've already read the blog post about the video for Icarus, released back in February, you might know a little about how we recorded these two lovely songs. This beautiful video for "I Got You" is the second and final video from our recording day back in November, 2019.

As I mentioned before, we were joined by Sergey and Kasia Melnik as our film makers for the day. For this song, we chose to make the video in Alberto's engineering room, with it's warm colors, ambient lighting, and living room vibe. The song is so intimate. It's really a gentle tune you sing to yourself (myself in this case). Sergey and Kasia really captured the song's inherent  stillness and tender, loving aloneness in this video.

Now, we all know a lot has happened since November, when both songs were recorded. The world has changed. And a lot of people feel unsure about the future. Though it wasn't written with the foresight of this strange moment in history, "I Got You" is so fitting for a time when we need tenderness and care - especially from ourselves.
